Here I am, yes a doctor, holding an alligator! I caught this a few hours earlier in the bayou at my camp in Gueydan, Louisiana (Cameron Parish). The alligator was only about 4 feet long. I was raised hunting alligators in Southwest, Louisiana; as it is part of our/my Cajun Heritage. By the way, there is a hunting season on alligators, just like there is a hunting season on bullfrogs. A hunter is allowed to kill only a certain amount per year (less than 15, I think). I have killed probably only 5 in my life. I prefer to fish for catfish.
